Lisa is a frequent speaker and trainer both locally and nationally. She brings a focus on prevention, offering an engaging, interactive and adaptive teaching style.

Lisa’s trainings are very interactive, as she believes that engaging the participants in the learning process allows them to better remember and apply the tools and skills they have learned when they return to the workplace.  One of her favorite Native American Proverbs best reveals her teaching philosophy: “Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I’ll understand.”

Testimonials from Participants in Lisa’s Trainings

“Lisa Brown did a great job. She used tons of examples, the power point and text were secondary. She got us into cases and applying the ideas we were learning about. She did a great job of developing the environment to the point that everyone was sharing and discussing. We learned a lot from each other and really enjoyed the time. First time I’ve sat for a daylong conference and never zoned out or lost interest. She had us spend hours developing and evaluating a final report. It was worth every minute, really valuable.”

The interactive exercises were excellent.

Lisa Brown was knowledgeable and kept it interesting. Three days to sit in a class is a long time but Lisa kept people talking and interacting and she always took the time to answer questions. She was a great instructor.

“Lisa Brown is an expert. Her wealth of knowledge
and willingness to share her experiences is valuable.

Lisa Brown’s years of experience and her anecdotal stories were very helpful in demonstrating the relevance and importance of the key points of this training. The interaction and practice exercises were most helpful.

“Group discussions where participants traded their experiences were very good. This was an experienced group of people for the most part and none were hesitant to share expertise. The facilitator, Lisa, did a great job starting discussions and presenting relevant case studies.

“I found the training to be fantastic! I wasn’t sure what it was going to entail but I was pleasantly surprised by how through and in depth the training was. Lisa was great! I really liked that Lisa had us write our own Executive Summary at the end, and presented it in a way as if we were really listening to a witness, for example, reading/speaking at a normal pace, but not slowing down to much as a witness does not slow down. This made for a truly life like experience. I also liked that she made us read our statements in front of everyone. This made things real for a lot of us! And made us put into practice the things we learned throughout the previous days. It was also a great way for us to hear other people’s point of view and how they came to their conclusions.”
